Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections and scheduled PMs for light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and test a range of truck systems while maintaining vehicle readiness and safety standards.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, ASE T8 or comparable certification within 18 months, and compliance with DOT/FMCSA rules. A valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; related discipline with alternative combinations considered.
• ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months or equivalent.
• Must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and pass pre-employment DOT screening and DOT physical.
• Valid DOT medical card or able to complete DOT physical as needed.
• 21+ years old with valid state driver's license and ability to obtain DQF.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engines, transmissions, and related systems.
• Perform road tests to verify repairs and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain inventory on company service truck and document RO using TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely manner.
