Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, provides on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for light to heavy-duty trucks nationwide. We are seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics in a field/mobile setting.

You will work under supervision of senior technicians, maintain safety standards, document work via TRAIT app, and cooperate with customers to meet their needs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED; 3 years related experience or 5 years in related field.
• Must supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical are required.
• DOT medical card valid >4 months may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical; if ≤4 months a DOT physical is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Document findings and parts used on RO via iOS TRAIT app.
