Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis, is expanding its mobile on-site maintenance network across the country.

The Mobile Diesel Technician II role performs DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics for light to heavy-duty trucks in mobile/field settings. You will support customers as a trusted lead on jobsites, ensuring safety, quality, and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; or equivalent combination.
• Minimum 3 years' related experience; 5 years accepted.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations; ability to pass background and DOT physical.
• Own hand tools provided; OEM training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections for light–heavy vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Carry out repairs and diagnostics on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Road test and verify vehicle repairs.
• Document work and upload RO details using company device.
• Coordinate with management on repair estimates and approvals.
• Maintain company service truck and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
