Job summary

CoxFleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and perform tests to ensure vehicle reliability.

Responsibilities include inventory management, safety inspections, and accurate documentation on Repair Orders using company tools. Candidates must meet DOT and ASE related requirements and hold a valid CDL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years in related field or equivalent combo.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required prior to employment.
• Class C driver's license required; interstate operations require valid license.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as needed.
• Maintain and operate company service vehicle and conduct pre/post‑trip safety inspections.
• Document work performed, parts used, and RO notes using company systems and devices.
