Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs for fleet vehicles in a mobile/field setting. The role emphasizes advanced diagnostics, safety compliance, and customer communication, with remote work flexibility for those located in specified cities.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience and 3+ years with refrigerated equipment. Tools and DOT credentials are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience.
• At least 3 years with refrigerated equipment.
• Must supply hand tools.
• DOT regulations training preferred.
• Must pass DOT physical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, and drivetrain systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and company-issued service truck.
• Complete DOT forms and maintenance documentation promptly.
• Maintain safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections.
