Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, fuel, cooling, and drivetrain systems for light through heavy trucks and trailers.

The role requires DOT/compliance knowledge, the ability to manage parts and documents, and strong customer communication. A valid CDL/DOT qualifications and ASE certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher with related field experience.
• 3 years’ experience in related field or 5 years’ equivalent.
• Experience with refrigerated equipment preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA and DOT physical requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems.
• Inspect, test, and evaluate equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Document work and communicate with management for approvals.
