Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile field setting. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, manage parts and documentation, and coordinate with customers.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; 3 years related field experience or 5 years field experience alternative.
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge or certification.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain certification within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light–heavy vehicles in field/mobile setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Document work on RO using company devices; communicate findings to customers and management.
• Operate within safety policies and maintain productivity and quality.
