Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in the field. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, cooling, and engine systems and document results using TRAIT app.

Responsibilities include road testing, inventory management, safety checks, and effective communication with clients and management to meet repair timelines and service expectations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required; 3 yrs related field experience or 5 yrs equivalent experience.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT/background checks and DOT physical as required by regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and age 21+.
• DOT medical card or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, transmission and fuel systems.
• Test drive vehicles and document RO findings using TRAIT app.
• Maintain vehicle and service truck readiness; manage parts inventory.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and provide status updates.
