Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy-duty repairs in a field/mobile setting. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs on electrical, braking, cooling, engines, and transmissions, and document findings on Repair Orders using iOS and TRAIT.

You will drive a company vehicle, maintain safety checks, and coordinate with customers and management to ensure timely, quality service.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in a related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and document findings on RO in TRAIT app.
• Maintain stock and manage parts on the service truck; obtain parts as needed.
