Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field environment. The role requires diagnosing and repairing diesel systems, managing parts, and documenting work while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

You will communicate with clients, prioritize tasks, and maintain the service vehicle, with opportunities for training and career advancement within the nationwide fleet maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of degree/certification and experience.
• Must possess hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background screening and DOT medical card as required.
• Be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment and systems.
• Document work on repair orders and manage parts inventory.
• Communicate with clients to assess needs and provide repair estimates.
• Operate the service vehicle safely and adhere to safety regulations.
