Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting. You will work under supervision to develop advanced diagnostic skills while meeting safety and productivity targets.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems, performing road tests, managing parts and scheduling, and documenting work via our TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field, or 5 years experience in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems; troubleshoot using handheld devices.
• Document RO findings, parts used, and photos via TRAIT app on iOS; complete DOT forms promptly.
