Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. The role involves performing PMs, inspections, and repairs across electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will manage parts, document work via our TRAIT app, and conduct DOT-related paperwork, working closely with clients to meet their fleet needs while maintaining high productivity.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3–5 years related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine-related systems; test and road-test vehicles.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service truck assets; document work and RO with iOS TRAIT app.
• Ensure safety, complete DOT forms, and communicate with management to obtain approvals and accurately log findings.
