Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for on-site field work across our service network. You will perform PMs, DOT inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles using a company service truck and iOS TRAIT app.

The role requires HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, valid DOT medical card and driver’s license, plus ability to work independently in a mobile environment. Weekly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience, or higher degree/cert.
• Must possess hand tools and ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance; valid DOT medical card and driver’s license required.
• Interstate driving with 21+ years old and valid license.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair truck equipment including electrical, brakes, cooling, engine and transmission.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and road test vehicles.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Document work and complete DOT forms promptly.
