Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to serve on-site across our nationwide network. This role performs DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on light to heavy trucks and trailers.

You will triage complex repairs, manage parts on the service truck, and document findings for customers and management. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED with 3+ years in a related field, tool ownership, ASE certifications preferred, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED or higher, plus related field experience.
• 3+ years of related field experience.
• Own a set of hand tools and be ready to supply them.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light to heavy vehicles in mobile settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems using diagnostic tools and handheld devices.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and document results.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for needed items.
• Document work on RO forms, capture photos, and communicate findings to customers and management.
• Maintain a safe, clean work truck and comply with safety policies and regulatory requirements.
