Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will work Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, with weekends as needed by customer requests, and travel to service vehicles from our fleet network.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of related field experience or 5 years alternative, tool ownership, and ASE/DOT certifications as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher with related field experience/alternative qualifications.
• 3 years' related field experience or 5 years' related field experience considered.
• Must possess a set of hand tools for duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background check and DOT physical as required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and transmission systems.
• Inspect and test equipment, listen to malfunctions, and use diagnostic tools.
• Manage parts inventory and company vehicle, ensuring safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Document work and upload RO details using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and maintain accurate records in a timely manner.
