Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light to mid-range repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, test drive to confirm repairs, and manage parts inventory with company tools.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license; DOT screening and a medical card may be required. Weekly pay and strong benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years in related field, or 5 years in related field.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months of employment.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining acceptable in lieu of physical.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to create Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow up repairs on trucks in mobile/field env.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems on light to heavy vehicles.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and tracking on company service truck; document RO via TRAIT app.
• Complete all DOT forms promptly and maintain safety, health, and environmental policies.
