Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Austin, TX. This role handles DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to mid-range repairs in a mobile/field setting.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, and document work on RO using TRAIT on an iOS device. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED with 3 years in the field, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related field experience or equivalent.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in a mobile field setting.
• Document findings and parts used on Repair Orders using company TRAIT app.
• Maintain and operate the service vehicle, conduct pre/post-trip safety checks.
• Communicate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
