Job summary

Cox Fleet is a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, with 50+ service centers. The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II performs DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting, maintaining equipment and documenting findings via iOS and TRAIT.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, ASE certifications within 18 months, valid CDL/DOT readiness, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with variable shifts and weekend

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma/GED and 3–5 years related field experience or equivalent.
• ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months is preferred.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory pre-employment screening and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/ braking/ cooling systems, engines and related components.
• Test, road test and diagnose malfunctions to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
• Independently manage parts inventory and obtain necessary parts from approved vendors.
• Complete DOT forms and RO documentation promptly using company device and TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety and comply with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations.
