Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and a range of light to heavy‑duty repairs at customer sites and through our nationwide service centers.

You will diagnose, adjust, and repair diesel systems, maintain safety checks, and manage parts and documentation using TRAIT and iOS devices. A valid CDL and ASE-related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 3 years of related field experience (or 5 years' related field experience).
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance background check and DOT physical as required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and document RO findings using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Manage parts inventory and equipment for service trucks.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
