Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light to heavy‑duty trucks in a mobile/field setting. You will work under supervision of a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician and use TRAIT on iOS for documentation.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, valid DOT medical card, and the ability to operate company vehicles. Weekly pay, gear reimbursement, uniforms, and training are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment including electrical systems, brakes, cooling, engines and transmissions.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle and conduct safety checks.
