Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to medium repairs in a mobile or field setting. You will work independently, manage parts, and document findings with photos using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma, 3 years of related experience or equivalent combo, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid DOT/driver compliance background. OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Valid DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Driver Qualification File.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM inspections and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems, engines and related components.
• Document work using Repair Orders (RO) and upload photos via TRAIT app.
• Maintain and safety-check the service truck and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
