Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Daytona Beach, FL. The role involves performing licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field environment.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, manage parts, and document findings. Applicants should have a HS diploma or GED, 3 years related experience (or equivalent), and ASE/T8 certification within 18 months.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs in a mobile/field environment.
• Proficient in diagnosing electrical, brake, cooling systems, engines and transmissions.
• Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic instruments and follow repair orders.
• Must complete DOT forms and maintain safety/operational documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and document work using company TRAIT app on iOS devices.
• Communicate with customers and management to obtain approvals and document RO findings.
