Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, service, and document work on various truck systems while coordinating with customers and management.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of related experience, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. A valid DOT medical card or equivalent is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and diesel systems as needed.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on Repair Orders via iOS TRAIT app.
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and estimates.
