Job summary

Cox Fleet in the United States is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II for on-site field service across our network. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs with a focus on electrical, braking, engine, and hydraulic systems.

You’ll work independently, manage parts, and document findings via our TRAIT app on an iOS device. The role requires 21+ years, a valid driver’s license, and ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT background

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher with related field experience
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment screening and DOT physical required
• DOT medical card with >4 months remaining acceptable in lieu of DOT physical
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and repairs on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile/field environment
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using tools and instruments
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation after repairs
• Manage parts inventory and document RO work on iOS/TRAIT app
• Complete DOT forms and related documentation promptly
