Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, PMs, and light to heavy repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose, repair, and test systems across electrical, braking, cooling, and engine subsystems, documenting findings via our TRAIT app on an iOS device.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to operate across state lines.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED or equivalent with 3–5 years related experience.
• Must possess hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must complete DOT pre‑employment screening and DOT physical.
• 21+ years old with valid driver’s license; able to operate across state lines.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light to heavy vehicles in the field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Test, road‑test, and validate repairs; document findings on RO via TRAIT app.
