Job summary

Cox Fleet is recruiting a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems and road-test vehicles to confirm repairs.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 3–5 years of related experience, a tool set, ASE T8 within 18 months, and a valid Driver's license; DOT background and medical card may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience or 5 years' related field experience.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid driver's license; interstate operation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy-duty vehicles in field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain service truck, safety checks, and post-trip inspections.
• Document findings and parts used in Repair Orders via TRAIT app.
