Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, test, and repair truck components, while documenting work and maintaining a service vehicle.

A strong safety record and ability to work independently are essential. The role requires HS diploma or GED with 3 years in a related field (or 5 years), tools, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months, plus a valid

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, with 3 years in a related field or 5 years of related field experience.
• Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, engine, and hydraulic systems on trucks and trailers.
• Test, road test, and document findings using RO forms and TRAIT app on company device.
• Maintain safety checks and prep/post-trip inspections of service vehicles.
