Job summary

Cox Fleet, a nationwide on-site mobile maintenance leader, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks in field assignments with DOT inspections and PMs. You’ll perform diagnostics, electrical repairs, and follow-up work in a fast-paced mobile environment.

You will maintain service vehicles, manage parts, and document findings digitally, while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience accepted
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months preferred
• Ability to perform DOT inspections and PMs on various vehicle classes

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in field/mobile setting
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems
• Test and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation and safety
• Maintain service truck and inventory, document RO details using TRAIT app
• Communicate with management to secure approvals on estimates and PO numbers
