Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose a range of truck systems and complete documentation with company tools.

The role emphasizes safe work practices, independent scheduling, and ongoing skill development, with competitive hourly pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with related field experience or equivalent combination.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light/medium/heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems as needed.
• Manage parts inventory and document work using company systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies.
