Cox Fleet, a mobile fleet maintenance leader, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a field environment across a nationwide network of service centers.

The role emphasizes diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems, adhering to safety and DOT regulations, and maintaining service trucks and documentation for repairs and RO submissions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant field experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months from start date.
• Must obtain DOT/FMCSA regulatory background screening and DOT physical before employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light through heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on diesel trucks.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld tools and gauges.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on RO using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms and other required documentation promptly.
