Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform PMs, inspections, and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a field setting. You’ll diagnose electrical and mechanical systems, manage parts and paperwork, and work with customers to ensure service quality.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, ASE T8 within 18 months, and DOT-related pre-employment processes. 21+ and valid DOT card or physical are necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' related experience (or 5 years' related experience with alternative background).
• Possess hand tools necessary for required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical are required.
• DOT medical card with 4+ months validity can substitute a DOT physical; otherwise DOT physical required.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate commerce rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections, and repairs on vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/ braking/cooling and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and road test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck readiness.
• Document work performed and upload RO photos using company device.
