Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service fleets on-site and in the field. This role focuses on DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs with strong diagnostic skills.

The Technician II will work under supervision to perform advanced diagnostics, maintain documentation, and ensure safety compliance. A valid DOT process and ASE T8 certification within 18 months are preferred, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with related field experience, or alternative combinations as stated.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment screening and DOT physical as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain service truck and safety inspections pre/post trip.
• Document work performed and parts used in Repair Orders using TRAIT app.
