Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to deliver on-site maintenance and repairs for fleets, with a focus on DOT inspections and preventative maintenance. This role operates in a mobile/field environment supporting light to heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Ideal candidates will have 3 years of related experience or 5 years in related field, pursue ASE T8 certification, and maintain a valid driver’s license. Training and safety programs are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher with related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is expected.
• DOT regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical required.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to obtain DQF.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems during on-site visits.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Maintain inventory on service truck and reconcile parts usage.
• Document findings and RO details using TRAIT app on iOS device.
