Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform certified DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and advanced trailer repairs at customer sites. You will work independently, manage parts and tools, and document work using our TRAIT app.

Must hold a HS diploma plus 5+ years in related work, with ASE T8/608/609 and CDL-A certifications in progress where applicable. We offer a $3,000 new hire bonus and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years in a related field.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary for duties.
• Within 18 months, obtain ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 certifications.
• CDL-A license required or obtainable within 18 months per DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on trailers.
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems including brakes, air lines, and hydraulics.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain company service vehicle and safety checks.
• Document work using RO, photos, and TRAIT app; communicate estimates for approvals.
• Work largely on-site at customer locations with independent scheduling.
