Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and complex diagnostics in a mobile/field setting. You will work under DOT/FMCSA guidelines, prioritize safety, and serve as a lead on-site for customers and junior techs.

Must have a HS diploma, 3+ years in related field, and ASE certifications. This role offers 100% travel, a structured schedule, and weekly pay with possible bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with relevant field experience or higher degree/certification.
• 3+ years of related field experience; refrigeration experience a plus.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations knowledge; DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM inspections on mobile fleet across light to heavy-duty vehicles.
• Diagnose, repair, and service electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on site.
• Maintain parts inventory and document RO findings using company systems.
• Communicate with customers and management to approve estimates and timelines.
