Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a field/mobile environment. The role requires 3+ years of related experience or equivalent, with ASE T8 certification within 18 months and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED with related field experience or an equivalent mix of education and 3–5 years in a related role.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is required.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations compliance and safety certifications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium and heavy-duty trucks in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, cooling systems, and engine electronics as instructed.
• Maintain and document repairs on Repair Orders using company iOS device and TRAIT app.
• Collaborate with customers and management to review estimates and RO findings.
• Pre-/post-trip inspections; ensure safety compliance and proper vehicle operation.
• Source and manage parts from approved vendors; ensure timely repair completion.
