Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service our customers in a mobile/field setting. You will perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance and follow-up repairs on a range of trucks and trailers using on-board tools and diagnostic equipment.

Work is in a field/onsite environment with a focus on safety, accuracy, and timely repair documentation. ASE T8 certification within 18 months is required; a DOT medical card may be needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED with 3 years in related field or 5 years of related experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT pre-employment background check and DOT physical prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, repair and adjust electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems as needed.
• Manage parts inventory and document work on RO using company iOS device.
