Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose complex issues and lead onsite service, coordinating with customers to meet their fleet needs.

The role requires DMV-checked driving credentials, ASE certifications, and the ability to manage parts and documentation on the TRAIT system. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulated requirements and valid DOT medical card as needed.
• ASE T8 and ASE 608/609 certifications within 18 months are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light to heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform electrical/hydraulic/electrical diagnostics on trucks and trailers.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory and document services on RO using TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and approvals.
• Ensure safety compliance and DOT regulations in all tasks.
