Job summary

Cox Fleet in the USA is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and advanced diagnostics on light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile/field setting.

You will work independently on schedules, manage parts and paperwork via TRAIT, and collaborate with customers to ensure high-quality repairs. ASE certifications and a valid DOT medical card are preferred; HS diploma and 3 years' related experience required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years' related experience.
• 3+ years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
• Must bring own hand tools; tools provided locally.
• OEM training and ASE certifications preferred.
• Willing to complete DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM on light to heavy trucks in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and engine systems.
• Inspect equipment, use handheld testers and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles and document repairs with RO in TRAIT app.
• Maintain service truck and manage parts inventory.
• Communicate with customers and obtain approvals on repairs.
