Job summary

Cox Fleet by Cox Automotive is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs in a mobile/field environment. You will diagnose, repair, and test diverse truck systems while maintaining your service truck and parts inventory.

The role requires ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months, a HS diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered. Patriots/career growth supported.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3+ years in a related field or 5 years experience considered.
• A.Se E/ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months of hire.
• Must pass DOT background screening and DOT physical.
• Valid state driver’s license; able to operate company service truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light/medium/heavy vehicles in mobile/field setting.
• Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, fuel, and drivetrain issues using diagnostic tools.
• Inspect and road test vehicles to verify proper operation after service.
• Manage parts inventory and document RO entries on iOS TRAIT app.
• Maintain safety checks and daily pre/post-trip inspections on service truck.
