Job summary

Cox Fleet, a national mobile fleet maintenance provider, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II or Sr Mobile Diesel Mechanic (Level 3). The role involves performing DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and a range of light to heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting.

The position supports our nationwide service network and requires strong diagnostic and documentation skills. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, 3 years in a related field, a set of hand tools, and ASE

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in a related field.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE certification T8 (PM) preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and related systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and repair orders; document findings with photos on RO using company tech tools.
• Obtain parts from approved vendors; coordinate with management for approvals on repair estimates.
