Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Indianapolis to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to moderate repairs in a mobile setting. You will diagnose electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems, road-test vehicles, and manage parts on the service truck.

This role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid DOT medical card, and the ability to work across a fast-paced schedule Thursday through Monday mornings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years in related field or 5 years experience in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Valid DOT/regulatory compliance is required for operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and road-test vehicles to ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts inventory on service truck and document work performed.
