Job summary

CoxFleet, headquartered in Indianapolis and a leading on-site mobile maintenance provider, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to service fleets nationwide. You will perform DOT inspections, PMs, and a range of light to heavy-duty repairs in a mobile/field setting, using diagnostic tools and hand and diesel equipment.

You will work with clients to assess needs, manage parts, and document findings in our TRAIT app.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 3 years in related field or 5 years in related field preferred.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools needed for duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment using handheld computers and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and functionality.
• Manage parts inventory and company-provided service truck; document work and RO in TRAIT app.
