Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a field setting.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems on medium to heavy trucks while maintaining the service truck and documenting work in the TRAIT app. The role requires a HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related work, or 5 years of experience; ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; and a valid DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years in the field.
• Own a set of hand tools required to perform duties.
• Achieve ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engines, and transmissions.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance.
• Manage parts and document RO using TRAIT app on iOS.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and maintain safety checks.
