Job summary

Cox Fleet, part of Cox Automotive Inc., is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will handle electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostics with supervision as you progress to advanced skills.

The role requires ASE T8 certification within 18 months, a valid DOT medical card, and the ability to work in a demanding field environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• DOT inspections and PM on mobile/field fleets.
• Diagnose electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems.
• Follow safety and DOT requirements during maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, engines, transmissions, and other components.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and proper operation.
• Independently manage parts inventory on company truck and reconcile periodically.
• Document work and upload photos of RO and parts used using TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.
