Job summary

Cox Fleet - A Cox Automotive Company is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

The role requires high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of related experience, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years related field experience or 5 years in related field.
• Must supply hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT regulations knowledge and DOT/ FMCSA pre-employment requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and age 21+.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PM inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical issues; use diagnostic tools and RO documentation.
• Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation.
• Manage parts and inventory, coordinate with customers and management.
• Complete DOT forms and maintenance documentation promptly.
