Job summary

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, road-test vehicles, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Work effectively with clients, manage parts in the service truck, and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; or alternative degree/certification with related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification expected within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA pre-employment background check and DOT physical required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems as needed.
• Test, inspect and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation after service.
• Maintain and organize parts inventory and company vehicle; document work performed in Repair Orders.
