Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light mechanical diagnostics in a mobile/field environment. You will work under supervision to diagnose, repair, and service trucks and trailers, using tools and TRAIT for documentation, and maintain safety and DOT compliance.

The role emphasizes independent daily scheduling, client communication, and high productivity within standard repair times.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required with 3 years in related field or 5 years in related field.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months is required.
• DOT regulatory requirements and DOT medical card responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field setting.
• Perform minor repairs and diagnostics on electrical, braking, cooling, engines, and transmissions.
• Test and diagnose equipment using handheld devices and diagnostic tools.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings on RO via TRAIT app.
• Coordinate with customers and management to obtain approvals and PO numbers.
