Job summary

Cox Fleet seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and repairs for light to heavy-duty trucks in a mobile, on-site environment. You will diagnose, repair and test diverse vehicle systems and manage parts inventory while adhering to safety standards.

Working in a dynamic field role, you will document findings via the TRAIT app and communicate with the team to ensure efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related field experience; or 5 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification required within 18 months of employment.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field settings.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test and road-test vehicles to verify proper operation and safety.
• Manage parts inventory and maintain service truck and tools.
