Job summary

Cox Fleet By Cox Automotive is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to mid-level repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems, document findings, and manage parts on a company service truck.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field or 5 years' related experience acceptable.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within eighteen months and pass DOT/FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and RO documentation.
• Manage parts inventory and operate the service truck, including pre-/post-trip inspections.
